November is National Novel Writing Month (NanoWriMo), where writers from all over the world attempt to write a novel (or part of a novel) in a month. The goal is to hit 50,000 words by writing 1,677 words per day.
I don’t tend to write evenly, so my words tend to come in bursts. I might have a day or two of only a few hundred words, then crank out 4,000 in a single day. It’s just the way I work. Even so, I have managed to complete it twice.
This year I plan to be a rebel. Mainly because I’m in the thick of editing/re-writing and I don’t want to get sidetracked by another story at this time. I’ll be counting any words I write/edit regardless. I’m certain I won’t make the 50K goal, but any additional words are better than none.
Good luck to everyone else participating.
