NanoWriMo 2015

For those of you who may not have heard, November is National Novel Writing Month, or NanoWriMo for short. The goal is to write 50,000 words of a first draft. I need a break from editing so I’m taking the plunge and going into fantasy (it does have some sci-fi elements — I can’t help myself).

Emily Layne is running a #NaNoMeet Blog Hop where we can write a little about ourselves and find out about others authors that are participating. So with that in mind, here is my info:

Nano Book Title: Aurum (link takes you to my info on the Nano site)

One Sentence Summary: A newly appointed Aurum must locate and destroy a portal device stolen from the Elderkind of Elsera, before an unclose-able door between worlds opens.

My Nano Goals: To pump out 50,000 words of a first draft for a book I’ve had floating around the back of my mind for a while, and to take a break from editing Skyburn.

Fun facts about me: I’m an Aussie mother of two. I hate cleaning and I could never be a Stepford wife. I run or walk with my dog every day, I drink coffee now I’m an adult, and I hate peas. I love reading and writing and according to my husband I have “extreme literary syndrome”.

I rarely use instagram. I’m just not photo savvy. But if you’re participating in Nano, join in the #NanoMeet too. I’d love to “meet” you.
