It’s officially SUMMER

December in Australia means summer. Days and nights are already heating up, the kids will be on school holidays soon, and the beach is calling. Christmas and the New Year are just around the corner. Before then, I have to do all the necessary shopping and preparation.

I still have a couple of reading challenges to finish: one have one book left in my Aussie Author Challenge, The Potato Factory by Bryce Courtenay, which I am currently reading. For the three remaining in my Australian women’s writers challenge, I’m going to read the Age of Five trilogy by Trudi Canavan. I managed to pick these up second hand at a bookstore close to home that I’d been meaning to enter for some time but never got around to. The store is a secret gold mine, packed with books that are in excellent condition. I’m kicking myself that I haven’t made the effort to browse before now.

I fear my writing time shall be almost non-existent for the next month, but since I have a clear plan for the book it is mostly in the hard editing phase now.

Now that November is over, so is Nanowrimo for another year. If you participated, how did you go?

I’m off to cool down 😉 Beach, here I come.
