This is my official introduction post since every new blog needs an introduction. You can find out more about who I am and what this blog is about in my About Me page.
Why did I start this blog? Because I am trying to make myself accountable and to stick to my training plan through the winter months so I don’t slack off. My current training plan is through run keeper and will finish in May. I want to make sure I get to my goal of 10km in under 60 minutes and then set some new ones for the remainder of the year.
It is currently autumn here in Sydney. Up until this weekend the weather has been quite mild but the colder temperatures are on the way and over the weekend they have dropped by about 5 degrees celsius. I am wearing long pants and a jumper (sweater) for the first time this year. I am also currently trying to nurse an injured foot back to full health so I can get my running distances up again. In the mean time I will have to be content with walking the dog or running shorter distances. School holidays are coming at the end of this week and that always puts a dampener on training as well.
